About Me

My photo
Sandra Thom's handmade workshop
Australia
I am a Sydney based fashion & jewellery designer and maker of many things fashion and not.... I am on a part time hiatus from real work while I look after my beautiful baby boy who keeps me very busy......I am always thinking about the next thing I'll do but right now I am having fun being a freelance stylist, maker (see issue 3 of Papier mache magazine online), photographer and whatever creative opportunity comes my way next. I like clothing made by hand with love & consideration. I adore stitches, cotton thread, print, embroidery, beading, vintage lace and I really appreciate a good thimble and beading needle. I have a rather big vintage fabric collection which I have gathered over the years & I use these fabrics, mostly vintage prints, throughout my ranges. Where possible I try to buy fairtrade and/or organic and vintage fabrics. I do what I can to step lightly, buy my food locally, walk everywhere and keep life simple. I love handmade crafts, fashions, vintage finds from across the globe. I am inspired by the many beautiful blogs out there, I can't even hope to make mine as beautiful but I will try, thanks for looking.
